It’s the most Westerly beach on mainland Britain on the Ardnamurchan peninsula and its simply in the premier league of Highland & Hebridean sandy beaches.
During the 2nd World War, two military aircraft crash landed there and apparently rifles and ammunition were recovered from one of them. The peninsula’s deer soon suffered as the local’s put the rifles to good use to supplement their merger war time rations with fresh vension.

Do you know the origin of the name “Sanna Bay” or where I could find that out?
Thanks,
CI
