Enard Bay

Polly Bay

The River Polly which has it’s origin on the slopes of Stac Pollaidh, joins the salty waters of the North Minch at Polly Bay. The glacier which carved the magificant and much photographed mountain, dumped this over sized ‘ball’ shaped rock here at the mouth of the River Polly, when it melted after the last ice age. Evidence indeed of the power of the glaciers.

I'm currently writing a sea kayaking guidebook for the Northwest Highlands; Cape Wrath to Ardnamurchan Point including Skye & the Small Isles. This blog will keep you updated as to my progress and hopefully the blog and in turn the book will inspire you experience the Northwest Highlands by sea kayak yourself.
