As you might expect there are many place names around the Isle of Skye which are derived from Gaelic and also Norse (due to Viking era) sources but I’ve discovered that there are some place names with the origins from Icelandic sources.
- Eyre Point- A narrow tongue of land
- Manish Mor - Seagull point
- Ardmadale - Arm of the sea
