Wondering

I’ve been rather aloof of late. However I’ve had something more important to deal with.
Deadlines are good to sharpen the mind so they say. Well I’m now aiming to finish the first draft of the guidebook by the end of September. So its time to burn the midnight oil!

Crackly

Ageing isn’t a process which is kind to humans and either is it kind to landscapes and coastlines. Strictly speaking it isn’t weathering which has given this rock it’s aged look but the way it cooled with it first formed. The rock type is Basalt, similar to the Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland.

Art

The side of a fishing shed in Mallaig harbour close to the ferry terminal. A classy mural which brightens up an area of grey concrete. I don’t know whether its been done by local or not?
