Under the light

Ardnamurchan

A couple of weeks ago now I managed to finally paddle around the most Southern point of the guidebook will cover; Ardnamurchan Point.

Map

We almost made a a circumnavigation of the Ardnamurchan peninsuala during a trip, a long portage or run or cycle would have completed the trip. The ‘point’ for some reason didn’t feel like such a big mental climax as major headlands often feel like as the throughout the whole two days were stimulated by the wildlife, coastline and environment. Or was it that having done Cape Wrath earlier in the season, that made Ardnamurchan Point feel compartively easy in comparison?

I have been working away quietly and steadily on the guidebook however my blogging here has become rather occasional which I must apologise about. I will endeavour to be more regular in my updates.

I'm currently writing a sea kayaking guidebook for the Northwest Highlands; Cape Wrath to Ardnamurchan Point including Skye & the Small Isles. This blog will keep you updated as to my progress and hopefully the blog and in turn the book will inspire you experience the Northwest Highlands by sea kayak yourself.
